The Nipissing Lakers were able to build a two goal lead against the RMC Paladins Saturday however the Paladins stormed back with three unanswered goals to stun the home team.
The Lakers loss has officially eliminated the team from post season play.
The warm weather that had been enjoyed in North Bay over the past few weeks disappeared and the cold, wet and windy Fall conditions created difficult playing conditions for both teams.
The Lakers (1-10-1) led 2-1 at half on goals by Kellie Koroma and Thomas Duncan while Luke Gabel responded for RMC.
The Lakers looked to have a stronghold on the game when Brendan TeBrake scored his first OUA goal however the Paladins never quit.
In the 70th minute RMC began to mount its comeback when John Bosica scored his first goal of the season. The Paladins added two more goals in ten minutes to complete the comeback and collected their first victory of the season.
The Lakers will look to rebound as they host the Queen's Gaels Sunday at 2:15 pm.
