The Nipissing Lady Lakers (1-10-3) collected their first win of the season by blanking the RMC Paladins (2-11-1) 4-0.
The Fall weather was in full effect Saturday as strong winds and heavy rain were present during the entire game making it a miserable day for soccer.
Weather aside, the Lady Lakers had a stellar day putting forth a solid team effort from start to finish as three first half goals by Kim Davidson, Kim Tait and Sara Dorval put the game out of reach.
Dorval added her second goal of the game in the 53rd minute and Lakers keeper Kelly Van Boxmeer notched her first career OUA shutout win.
The Lady Lakers will face a tough test Sunday as the defending National Champion Queen's Gaels visit the Lady Lakers at 12 pm.
