The Nipissing Lakers volleyball teams are hosting their final two home game of the season at the Robert J Surtees Athletic Centre this weekend.
The finest collegiate men’s volleyball teams in Ontario will be at Nipissing University later this month competing for gold medal glory in the 2012 Ontario Collegiate Athletics Association (OCAA) Men’s Provincial Volleyball Championships.
Playoff spot up for grabs for Lakers Four straight wins -- the longest winning streak in the OUA East division -- have put the Nipissing Lakers in the driver's seat, but the job is still not done.
Lakers edge Paladins The Nipissing Lakers picked up two important points Saturday night against the RMC Paladins, but they sure had to fight for them.
It was another classic chapter in the battle between the top two ranked teams in the OCAA as extra points were needed in the 5th set as Humber egded the Lady Lakers 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 15-25, 25-23, 16-14).
The January 21 – 22 weekend saw varsity ski teams from Carleton, Queen’s, University of Toronto, Guelph, Waterloo, Laurentian, and Nipissing University gather at the North Bay Nordic Ski Club for two days of varsity racing.
